You're absolutely right. The video you linked IS stupid. Which is worse, though? The video who makes a lot of valid points and a few stupid ones with no credentials, or the video that does some pretty lazy/farcical "field testing" and presents it as fact? If I were to label one as more evil than the other, it would

Don't forget the next step. Get more metal, choose object to improve, press 'E' again.

I'm sorry if I was not clear before, but I am not trying to bash this man's art. Handmade swords made by master craftsmen are pretty much universally beautiful, and I will not argue that point with you.

Indeed, but barring mythological examples, nobody thinks western swords are capable of such crazy feats as katanas are regularly attributed with.

Now playing

I never understood the whole katana worship thing, to be honest. Sure, they look nice and all but I don't understand why people take all these tall tales that are accredited to the katana at face value.

Both of those are false.

It's not like the programming team needs to stop programming or the art team needs to stop drawing textures in order to get some voice acting work done. More expensive to keep everything fully voiced? Definitely. Slower? Not necessarily.

I'm kind of surprised hard worker is so low on the list. I suppose it's because people don't really care about steam cheevs. I managed to complete it without even knowing it existed.

I think that's more down to the fact that people don't usually try to monetize hard drive formats and MS is kind of the oddity there. Don't forget that one of the PS3's main purposes at launch was to push Bluray.

This is just Sony's standard operating procedures. It's why I don't buy anything outside of their gaming stuff.

Ubisoft, just do us all a favor. Sell HoMM and Settlers to someone with a brain, and then never touch the PC again.

I do get the same feeling. I actually plan in my playing of Bethesda games to basically only do half of everything. That way, when I finish I can start over as something else and do the other half. Fresh gameplay experience, fresh content, still fun.

I think hes simply standing on a fire trap.

Basically, the latest 1.9 prerelease ( 6, I think) is feature complete and the only thing that the retail version will bring is polish.

The reviewer, Alec Meer, only does occasional freelance work for Eurogamer and mostly writes for Rock Paper Shotgun (the largest PC-centric blog in the world). He's had content reposted to Kotaku before. Trust me, the man knows a thing or two about reviewing and you shouldn't let Eurogamer scare you away from reading

Honestly, my only beef with DLC is how damn expensive it is. You rarely get what you pay for, and it's really easy to get burned. You really want to keep people from trading? Try selling your tiny additions for under $5. For the price of most console DLC, you can buy multiple indie games and have hours more fun.

You just laid out a bunch of things you can essentially say about any melee style. Also, I find it a bit amusing that you talk about how stamina intensive DW is then ignore the fact that light armor has a stamina regen perk while heavy does not. My character is lvl 35, and I do not find light armor particularly

What exactly is wrong with Dual Swords and light armor? I'm going to bet he's a stealth focused character, which means mainly bows and dagger kills. He's already got 1h for daggers, so for the cost of a few perk points he can also have a viable melee attack for when stealth is not an option. Sure other setups are more

If you want to know anything lore-wise about the Elder Scrolls games, I cannot recommend the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages more. Here is their page on the Dwemer.

I disagree. No matter how fancy you tried to get in Oblivion, it was never faster at killing enemies as the neverending process of blocking until they staggered, hitting them with 3 quick hits and then repeating. I do feel the combat in skyrim is improved simply based on the facts that swing speeds are slower
