@SmokyShinobi: Still got my Cawdor gang. Necromunda was awesome.

@piratesots7: I really love that mid to late 90s era of GW games, but hate how they handled them. They made all of those amazing games like WHQ and Necromunda, then killed them after barely supporting them at all.
Obviously, this is because they don't know how long the 6 other versions of Blazblue they will inevitably make will take them to finish. Only then will they consider another GG.
@jayhawkfilm: Two Worlds Two already beat them to that distinction.
I don't think that's relevant. He argues that graphics that aren't photo-realistic could be a hindrance to sales. I simply pointed out a game who's graphics are nowhere near photo-realistic, has outsold many AAA games with photorealism and actual marketing. If realistic graphics were needed for any kind of success,…
Tell that to the 2m people that bought Minecraft.
@JesusChrist: That sounds like the name of a game where you Mii puts on special sunglasses to find aliens living among your Mii collection.
I guess I wasn't clear enough on this, but everything in MNC aside from the gameplay hybridization is derivative. The fact that Firefall does not have the ONE real defining feature of MNC is why I questioned the comparison.
@Pouncealot: I'm guessing the PvP is an instanced battleground, much like many other MMOs today. The "massive co-op" likely refers to the open world PvE demonstrated in other trailers.
@Unee720: How is that anything like MNC? MNC was pretty much team fortress x tower defense. I see no tower defense elements here.
Stop scapegoating things you do not understand. Gamebryo is only a rendering engine, and many games have used it without being the bug-ridden messes that Bethesda games are. I'll tell you what - go read this interview, it should give you a better picture of what exactly Skyrim is. They have basically dropped Gamebryo,…
I'm on fire!
This week is indie games weekend. Replaying Cargo to produce my first ever Lets Play series, and will be playing the just-released Capsized.
@Ivan Lopez: That only handles the Mt. Dew side of the equation. Wait a minute... TO THE DRAWING BOARD!
@registeraccount21: "Dead or alive, you're coming with me!" was something Robocop told criminals in the movies. There he's buying Dead or Alive. It's pretty straightforward.
This article is pretty much spot on. I've beaten the game and enjoyed myself, but it does have a few problems. The bugs have largely been squashed, but the criticisms about vague objectives and not lingering on any one element long enough are fair ones. The vehicle building takes some getting used to (but is fairly…
Brutal Legend. You may have to enjoy metal to get the feeling, but it's there. In fact, the scenery (along with the soundtrack, of course) is probably the best part of the game.
