Barbara Stanwick was so good in this! I also really liked Mare Winningham as Justine.

OMG that's a great idea! I used to babysit once a week for a family where the mom kept a full library of Danielle Steele and loaned them to me one at a time. I inhaled those. And then I moved on to Rosamund Pilcher. And Sidney Sheldon, those were super trashy good. Aw, I'm all nostalgic now.

I read the book when I was 14 or so, in the mid-80's which is like the perfect age for this kind of epic novel with questionable themes. I was ALL ABOUT it, it had everything I wanted in a book: forbidden romance, bad marriages, fascinating history, illegitimate children, secrets, a romantic island fuck-fest, priests

She just grew up in a different time. Her mother and grandmother were tough and strict and probably she reacted by being a bit more lenient with her children. But I don't know how much of a normal life one can have in that family, strict or not, it's kind of a unique situation.

I have no opinion on the monarchy since I'm American, but I agree that she's a fascinating woman. She swore her life at the incredibly young age of 25 to service for her country and she certainly has fulfilled that duty every day since. The history that she's ruled through is kind of staggering. Her children may have

She's also the only person who isn't required to have a passport, since UK passports are technically issued by her.

Brooke Shields, despite having an alcoholic stage mother with borderline personality disorder. She turned out OK, too.

Question: I'm moving to my new apartment today but my internet doesn't get turned on until Monday (sob!). Does Amazon allow a way to download episodes so I can watch offline, or is everything stream only? Anyone know?

He's my favorite baby ever. Cutest grumpy old man in a baby body.

I was wrong! I did get her mixed up with the lady who wrote Twilight. This is the lady who wrote the Twilight fan fiction.

Ah, yes, I stand corrected. Shouldn't have said anything, since I haven't read either author.

Mormon.

It's almost as if they want to penalize women for "getting preggers" in the first place, like they should have just "controlled themselves" and if they're pregnant with some deformed hopeless fetus, well, that's just their TS.

Is that who that is? I had no idea. I just did an image search for restaurant douchebag and that was one of the results. LOL.

I didn't know you were BFFs with Guy Fieri!

Did you see the video? She knew she was being filmed and seemed like she was well aware of the silliness of what was happening. Her husband commented on another site that she gave him permission to post it online, too.

This was posted elsewhere, don't remember where, and the husband commented that she is totally fine with it, and if you see the video it's clear from the beginning she knows she's being filmed.

yes, and they got so mad when Benedict kind of side-eyed his crazy fans in some interview. Which, if I were him and saw some of the blogs, I'd also want to stay far far away. I don't blame him at all. Which they then use against him and now the woman he's marrying. It's a strange love-hate thing that I wish I hadn't

This is happening a bit with the Benedict Cumberbatch fans since he announced his engagement and upcoming baby with his fiancee. It's like the shippers who are so into fictional Sherlock-John as a pairing have transferred their ire to the real-life fiancee and have set up all sorts of ridiculous conspiracy theories

I love him too. He's such a muffin. A muffin with so much attitude. I wonder where it came from, seeing as how Kate and William are pretty much super bland people.
