I actually very much doubt this. Nintendo is still a very very Japanese company, and I wouldn't be surprised if the "Salaryman" "job for life" ethos was still alive in there...

You need to understand that Japanese culture. He is the Samurai. He has failed the company. He has to "own" it to preserve his own honor. These days they don't do the cutting of hair thing, but cutting your pay, kowtowing in front of the shareholders, those are all still very much seen as necessary to make amends and…
If they recommended blender, nobody'd get past the first 10 pages.

A warning though: while I've included some highlights (Marshall Bravestar!) below, when you venture to the actual site, it's pretty NSFW. Like, dicks everywhere.
Nothing about Bothians? I mean, I know I'm on Jezebel, but come on....
"what kinda crap are the locals tryin' to foist off on us. HEY! I may be a tourist but I know fish!"
I think we need to separate the aesthetic from the graphics (or resolution). Katarmari Damacy had TERRIBLE graphics. Low poly, crappy animation, but it had a wonderful, immediate aesthetic.
Hmmm.. I don't know. Is this a pure aesthetic thing, or are there weird physics interactions? I have to say, I'm not liking the new wave of "physics based x". Yes, you have a physics engine. Super. But at the same time, I would like my game to be crafted, not fiddly sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't based on…
On reading the title, I thought this was going to be some story about copyright law going crazy.
They've got a thing for the French, too. Not the English, for some odd reason...
This. If only there was a way to stop my profile from showing up in my friends' games. These sorts of games rely on the network effect to create the viral buzz that makes it seem like all your friends are playing.
I'm boycotting King's stuff from now on. Not playing Candy Crush any more, I've deleted it from my phone. No King anything in the future either.
Yeah, I don't get why Nintendo refuses to do internet multiplayer properly. Maybe they just don't know how? I don't think internet multiplayer detracts from the local multiplayer experience.
I thought that they probably trademarked the "Candy" logo or somesuch, not the literal word "CANDY" without any font, color etc.
Maybe it'll cause enough of a stink to draw attention to how crappy these filters are, and cause some serious discussion?
I wonder if they just ran a filter over everything to upscale and save artist time. Frankly, I'd rather they left the sprites as they were, spriting is a tough job to do well, if you're not going to spend the money to do it right, don't do it.
Someone needs to get on this. And end the clip with his roommate screaming "XBOX OFF"
