I need to break quarantine all of the time due to my medical appointments.  Luckily everywhere I need to go takes it really seriously.

This happened when I was around 13 or 14. My dad had recently passed away, so it was just me, my mom, and my 5-years-younger brother. After my dad died, my mom became really adamant about always keeping the doors locked all the time, even though we lived in a safe, quiet neighborhood in a safe, quiet Alaskan town. I

Closing bars and requiring a piece of cloth be worn in public to protect citizens from actually dying = tyranny

Better to pretend they don’t exist if the intruder isn’t aware of them yet.

Full disclosure / Trigger Warning: This post could be triggering for people who have experienced abuse.

I mean it seems like if they're a) sleeping through everything and b) the intruder isn't yet interested in their floor then best to leave well enough alone and not alert either party to the presence of the other...the husband gradually drawing the intruder away from everyone else is pretty heroic.

I told this one before, but I posted really late so I’ll try again this year.

I wish I had a ghost story because I love them (although I’m too much of a scaredy cat to seek anything like that out). But this is the most terrifying thing that ever happened to me.

This is the scariest story I know.

I know many of you are here for the truly terrifying scary stories (me included!), but I’ve got a heartwarming one that I’ve been aching to share for years. Please stick with me, as I promise that there is a payoff after the setup! And with that, come along with me and travel back to a tour bus full of exhausted

When families, often black and Latinx families, move into majority white districts they are sometimes followed home by private investigators to see if they actually live in the district. If they don’t or don’t live there full time they can be tired and imprisoned for doing so.

If our justice system was fair, then I’d agree with you.

I wonder how all the black people that missed out on jobs, funding, etc. feel about it though. That type of thing has both an economic, professional, and mental and emotional effect. She didn’t just steal culture , she stole opportunity that would have benefited actual black people on multiple levels. I hope she gets

She got called out. Someone finally did some digging with some other people and made calls and found out she was lying. She decided to go pubic with her apology before they outted her.

Shannon I am so sorry that you even have to write an article about this crap. Absolutely despicable.

Ask your doctor if Dolezal is white for you.

BIPOC have historically tried to pass as white for a chance to live a life that was a little safer and better than their own. Then people like this come along and try to do the opposite to profit off the backs of BIPOC like it’s no big deal. Sometimes I really hate our world.
