Everyone has different tastes of what they enjoy from a horror movie. There are a large number of people that enjoy bad horror movies, and straight up gory movies. And you have the slow burn movies. The jump scare movies. The creepy atmospheric movies and so on. Torture porn movies. Like the color red, horror movies…

Dude, please continue to enjoy this film. Nobody is stopping you from doing that.

I am an old school gorehound and the effects in this movie are excellent and mostly practical. On the other hand the story is terrible and the acting is pure sub-tier Netflix trash. The dialog is so bad sometimes I kept reaching to turn it off but held fast regardless.

You know, not all horror fans love every sub genre of horror. They probably saw the movie because they enjoy horror, but the “gore for gores sake” stuff is pretty shit usually. I’m not sure why pointing that out is such a problem.

Girl, my opinion has nothing to do with puritanism. These movies are the cinematic equivalent of Marilyn Manson - all shock, no substance, and - with plenty of exceptions, of course - most of the fans I encounter are weirdly hostile when anyone complains about it.  

I keep seeing comments like this regarding Art’s performer, and I just don’t see it. He’s doing generic creepy clown stuff. 

The amount of shilling going on for this movie is insane. If I have to see one more headline about how people are throwing up at screenings of this shitty movie, I’m going to, well, you get it.

Yeah I skimmed through T2 and was baffled at the responses to it. Just seemed absolutely mindless and dumb and truly not that scary unless you really think fountains of blood are shocking in 2022. 

After having tried to watch Terrifier, I can easily say if this is the future of horror, I’m out. Artless, joyless, miserably gruesome, and utterly cruel. No thank you.
