Yeah I’ve noticed the writers for this whole network have decided it’s time to loop back around and “Actually the Barbie movie wasn’t that good...” us.

Yeah whenever I hear the “kids deserve better” bullshit I realize that person probably doesn’t actually have kids, know kids, or talk to kids.

There’s opportunities to do that here. You’ve got Val who could reveal herself as someone, there’s the possibility of shenanigans with variants and Skrulls since we know both of those things are in play.

I can’t wait to see how Sam shits himself if/when real AI crops up instead of this algorithmic pattern matching that currently uses the ‘AI’ name.

Look, all of the characters involved with Thunderbolts are interesting...but I’m gonna be disappointed if their plan is to just shove them together in to “our version of The Suicide Squad.”

I dunno, WB did a pretty good job collectively throwing all of Batgirl under the bus.

The phrasing on this doesn’t make sense. Either it’s a slam on Gunn (he’s only effective at selling comics) or it’s a typo that meant to say “he’s just as effective”...in which case it’s presumptive because none of his new slate of movies has actually been made.

A lot of gags from the Naked Gun films are lifted from Police Squad. Though, for different reasons.

That was the beauty of early Zucker/Abrahams. They could do direct parody/reference humor but in such a way that you didn’t need to know the source to get the joke.

The first time I watched this movie as a kid, my dad and I cracked up at that for completely different reasons. Him more than me.
