Honestly, I’d love to see a Wonka that’s a bit more hopeful and happy in this movie because the interesting story is whatever the hell happened in the years between this and the original that turned him in to such a cynic.

And yet you decide to just recreate the scene from the other movie with minor CGI changes. Why? Because nostalgia = tickets.

Yeah I dunno how I feel about him always being eccentric and already making magical candy. I thought part of the “magic” came when he enslaved hired the Oompa Loompa.

And in the book, as they’re riding the elevator out of the factory, Charlie notices the kids and their parents leaving in their various altered states.

Completely hidden in the earlier trailers, and really only vaguely hinted at before release...

For a while my “goto” armor was the Climbing Vest, Miner Pants, and Hylian Hood. Because I had the parts to upgrade each a few levels and didn’t have the funds quite yet to buy anything better.

I feel for Pugh. Not every actress is okay doing nude scenes, and now one who was is having that trotted out as a marketing bullet because the director and studio are insecure of releasing opposite BARBIE.

As someone with two young kids I do not have the ability to sit through what would become a full day’s work to step out and watch both.

Or, I dunno, they could just make a Superman movie...

Yeah it's an R-rated cautionary tale about nukes, I'm fully expecting there to be graphic depictions of the impact of nuclear radiation on the human body as well as graphic slow motion scenes of people being evaporated or whatever science says happens to you when exposed to a nuclear explosion.

Most Americans, having lived through the Trump years, have a pretty solid fear of potential nuclear annihilation.

Ironically "don't skip the opening" is what I told the bear, too.

And even if you never use it outside of exploration, two upgrades are like a handful of sticky lizards and assorted other stuff you're gonna be swimming in if you've been doing enough exploration for rain to be a hinderance.
