How do you figure? This is a regular Rubicon, but with added cosmetics. It’s even more plush than a regular Rubicon. The only significant part to me is the thicker front axle tubes, and end forgings. Everything else can easily be added to a regular Rubicon after the fact.

So far, to me, just having different emissions at speeds higher than tested does not seem like a defeat device. VW, however, having different controls when the steering wheel is not turned, definitely is a defeat device.

Weird, it seems they plan on doing body on frame. That may have worked in the 90's, but I don’t possibly see how they can compete with a Range Rover using a Ram frame. Not to mention the undoubted terrible fuel economy. Possibly a luxury version of the Rescue concept?

The engine size does not really surprise me. I’ve read that 1/2 litre cylidners are about the best from an efficency stand point. Therefore, 2.0L fours, 3.0L sixes, and 4.0L eights should be pretty common. A 1.2L four must have some small cylinders.

I was thinking nice price, until I found out it still has the stock 5.3, and not the 6.0 that the Silverado SS had. Nice looking truck though.

I’d like mine in a smaller vehicle (like Ranger size) and with a manual transmission. The Raptor has the advantage of being a factory package with a factory warranty, but for that price, I think I could build a pretty nice Tacoma.
