I can already tell by the comments that the sanders people will be upset, though it usually doesn’t take much to do that, but you are right. I think it would be better for him to sit out and not be such an egotist. However I do want to take a different track.

What’s worse is that “states’ rights” - so to speak - has always been couched in racial undertones and was an obvious replacement for saying overtly racial dialogue to make a point. (See: Lee Atwater)
