That is right. They honestly should say that. I think she saw the trap of “What about *insert heinous serial killer/terrorist here*, should he/she vote?” type question and wasn’t sure how to confront it. sanders, to his credit, had a decent answer despite the gotcha component the questioner used.

When Franken was in, I was under the impression that she was a DFL progressive type akin to him. That’s just why I’m surprised to learn that was not the case.

I see this as a way to at least get the conversation about stiffer or normal regulation going. The argument for overreach can be met, but it should be coupled with the idea that there needs to be dramatic change.
