It’s basic psychology. From trumpers, to sanders supporters, to anyone who is a fan of a major sports team; people don’t find the flaws in things that they have thrown themselves fully into. 

I vowed to my wife that the only time I’ll watch Get Me Roger Stone on Netflix is when they get to finally add the post script of him going to prison in a revised edition. Hopefully that time is coming soon.

And while we’re at it, hopefully Alex Gibney re-releases We Steal Secrets with the updated fate of Assange…

I don’t normally do this, but I was curious about your post history. It seems odd how you claim to - almost begrudgingly - defend sanders when it seems to be your job on this blog.

Look, I don’t like sanders and won’t vote for him in the primary. If he wins the primary, I’ll vote for him in the general election…

I’m a teacher. Let me tell you what, they did her a favor. They allowed her to “resign,” which allows her to be considered for future positions. Had she been fired, she’d be essentially purged from ever being considered a sub again.

So, screw that school district. 

Well I’m not that old. My first election was 2000 when I thought things were on an even plane. But you’re right; it’s been fucked since Reagan. So I guess I did come to the party late.

I often think back to The Pelican Brief when I think about the dangerous rhetoric around RBG or other liberal justices. I’m not aware of their safety measures, but hopefully they are rather stringent. All we need is some channer with a collection of weapons to cause a lot of damage.

I said this in another thread, but anyone who still associates with trump’s movement, intends to vote for him again, or otherwise supports him and his policies needs to be ostracized. No more “let’s reach these people.”

That’s why I’m almost like “do it.” Set a precedent and when a Democratic president comes they will use the emergency order to do something that is actually useful.

I saw that Lee endorsement too and was quite surprised (given how early she came out for sanders in 2014 of all times.) He could be trying to obtain the optics of helping out the new, young generation of progressive representatives. I didn’t hear Omar’s statement on his candidacy, but it makes me like her even more. 

He’s not *you know who.* Anyone that isn’t *you know who* will always be treated with increased skepticism and scrutiny, despite how they were Bieber’s previously.

I’m sure a subreddit full of birds and outlines of hair and glasses would hear it.

I mean... so what? I guess that’s good, but I think playing he media game of addressing the “concern” plays into the hands of opportunists who want to shit on her. The Democratic leaders did so and it was dumb, just as sanders making a big to-do of it.

Both are terrible due to the usual Southern crap: total disregard for black communities while uplifting rich white ones. 

Honestly I think Schumer sucks, but bootlicker is a little too far. I’d say he’s more of a useless/feckless bureaucrat who’d rather seek a lame compromise than a genuine win.
