Wow, this post is the greatest mess I have seen in a few weeks. I have learned to appreciate this post for what it is.

you are exactly right. American soccer fans are extremely passionate and very defensive of what they hold dear, there squads and the league. I love MLS and even NASL, but a lot of fans have a complex that is indeed very off putting at times.
The line about better attendance is flawed when you compare it to arena sports, like NBA and NHL. Astadium that holds 7,000 more people better have higher attendance, since both NHL and NBA have much much smaller capacities, and I say this as a huge mls fan.
