You can find out a lot about a company even if you don't ask questions. I was waiting for a job interview one Monday morning just at around 9 am when most of the employees were coming into work. I had been chatting with the very friendly and helpful receptionist, who was thrilled that her first grandson had been born

Exactly! I was commenting on their marketing language. Gotta love it.

I love the way fake leather now is a benefit because it's "vegan."

I learned how to do this when my son reached preschool. After a few years of isolation, not meeting anyone new or making new friends, I just started asking moms I'd meet at pickup/dropoff if they wanted to go for coffee. They were nearly 100% of the time so happy and relieved and excited to be asked out on a "mom

Thanks! I keep all my active projects in Dropbox folders so they sync automatically. I can see how this would be handy for other stuff. Thanks again for the explanation.

Maybe I don't get this, but I work out of synced Dropbox folders. If you manually sync files to your cloud drive, aren't you basically keeping two versions of the same file? Isn't what why you use a cloud drive in the first place, so you don't have to have multiple versions? My Dropbox files automatically sync, but is

Still the absolute cutest.

These look like people acting like they feel sad or angry or compassionate, etc. I'd like to see actual photos of people really feeling that way.

I thought that was the purpose of cold cream.

And, in turn, that means that three or four shouts of harassment are OK? What an ass.

I started investing about 15 years ago by using Sharebuilder.com, which makes using dollar-cost averaging easy. The idea is that you always buy the same dollar amount—at regular intervals—of whatever security you're purchasing. That way, you buy more when it's cheaper, and less when it's high.

Sitting in 45 minutes of extra traffic because you don't want to pay the $8+ on the high-occupancy/toll lanes on the Beltway to get to the client's office—but you make $150 an hour as a consultant there.

I stuff a few in my closet and drawers to keep my clothes smelling good there, too.

My daughter has been getting all her books from Amazon since she started college two years ago. Some are rented (as low as a quarter of the price of purchasing), some are purchased and some are in Kindle version (which can also be purchased or rented for a very low price). With my Prime membership, I'm able to buy her

When my son worked at Best Buy, he got an employee discount of cost-plus-some-small-percentage. That meant he got no deals on tiny-margin items like TVs, etc., but cables? He could buy those $40 cables for less than two dollars each.

Or maybe just think about the gazillions of times she wasn't late. That usually works, too.

Ha! This was perfect. I read this moments after I sent my first email of the day, which was thanking a co-worker for his input. It IS a better day, now!

It is ironic that I don't know if this app is pronounced 'names' or 'name-ezz'?

I think the fear of not knowing how to go about it is a huge factor, too.

I can vouch for the Sleep Phones. They're comfortable, sound great, block a lot of noise and you cannot hear a thing out of them unless you're wearing them.
