I often just use a cut up onion or apple under a slab of meat for the liquid in a pot roast. It turns into plenty of liquid and the meat is very tasty. I'll add the veggies later so they don't become mush.

Yes! You're right. Now get me all of the eggs and bacon you have.
Ugh. Not much in the work world worse than having to spend your day in a hot office. There are OSHA rules for how warm a workplace can be, so you might want to check into that.
I don't understand. Books are already broken down into small chunks. They're called pages. Read as many or as few as you want.
Saves time and money! Too much wandering through the Ikea maze and I'm filling my blue bag and buying way too much. This is a great hint; thanks!
What goes on in there? Remember that women use toilet paper every time they go to the toilet. Men only need it for certain kinds of toilet-going.
Best way to avoid seeds is to use limes instead.
Dan Snyder bad at PR? You think? You mean the guy who sued a small paper over an article that no one had read, thus propelling it into the national spotlight, leading millions of people to find out what an a-hole he really is? I guess his PR training never included learning about The Streisand Effect.
I'd love to find full-fat fruity yogurt with little or no sugar, but I can't. The Chobani 100 (15 grams of carbs, but 5 grams of fiber) is delicious, not too sweet, either, uses stevia instead of Splenda or aspartame. I just started seeing it in stores (Wegman's, Harris-Teeter so far).
A couple of scrambled eggs, or a container of Greek yogurt (my latest fave is the Chobani 100). A tablespoon of chia seeds in the yogurt seems to work to keep me full until lunchtime.
I've found myself using recipes and tips from The Kitchn more and more lately. My entire weekend's meals were from Kitchn recipes.
Best way to add flavor to oatmeal is by putting in a little salt with brown sugar and butter. Adding fruit helps, too.
Must be nice to live where you live.
This may have worked in the old days when you simply mailed in a resume, but now when you apply for a job, chances are you've got to log into another stupid system (create yet another username and password), upload your resume, fill out the online forms with your address, etc, and then fill out a complete application…
You sound like you have my body. Thank you for writing this and inspiring me to keep it up. I've lost 80 pounds so far and have gone through a few hard plateaus.
Sorry about your Frank, Dorothy. I hope things work out for you. Thanks for sharing your story.
I've never understood why, for so many years, home builders made the laundry room the least pleasant room in the house. Left over, I guess, from the idea that having a machine in your house certainly beat having one on your back porch, no matter where you locate it (or much better than beating clothes against a rock…
Used to drive my kids crazy with "Don't think about your thumbs!"
Easiest slow-cooker pot roast: Take a hunk of meat, season it with whatever you like, line the bottom of the cooker with sliced onion, drop the meat on top. Cook on low all day (while you're at work). If you don't have an onion, an apple with do. Both together works fine, too.
Find a friend who will go walking with you. That's what I did. We started walking around a local lake a couple of times a week. That led to pre-sunrise early morning walks in the neighborhood. We started out with just a mile, then 2, then 2.5.
