I think the best advice for couples is from the hilarious blog, "The Sneeze." Ever since reading this, my entire family has followed his advice.

We keep our MBs plugged in usually and rarely move them around, but the power cords ALWAYS fray where they go into the computer, not the brick.

I saved about $100 in airport fees when I rented a car in L.A. last year. There's a Budget Car Rental desk at the Amtrak station and a very cheap shuttle bus from LAX to Amtrak.

This is awful. I want to be able to glance at the pictures and see their source. It makes all the difference in the world to see them immediately in context.

@iamjames: thanks! I was wondering if they were roundtrip or one way and hadn't really started digging for that info. I wish Kayak would make that clear.

I not only have business cards for my job, but I also carry personal business cards with my home address, personal email and cell phone number. I'm more likely to want to give that information out when I'm out and about running into people. And it's easier to hand them a card than to stand there and fumble with phones.
