Because government agencies have something called "outreach". The steps to FAFSA are just a tad involved to fit into 140 characters. Your government is public facing and must be able to reach as many communities possible in a cost effective way. Twitter and Facebook probably counts.

I don't need my government agencies funny or "hip"or ironic or whatever.

Yeah, I didn't find it offensive. I kind of got annoyed in college with all of the euphemisms people used to avoid calling me poor, as though being poor were some sort of shameful insult or slur.

Color me kooky. I thought it was funny. (AND I filled out my FAFSA every year when I was a student.) I guess I'm far enough away from student loans (other than paying them monthly), that it amuses me.

My heart was pretty broken too. Mainly because as a pet parent (cats and dogs, not dragons) I know how painful it would be to have to lock up and leave your babies, especially when they're screaming for you. But it had to be done, she's trying to rule over and protect her people.

Am I the only one who felt bad for the dragons? Okay I know, the black on killed a kid. But the other two didn't do anything. And really they are dragons, they are going to do dragony things like eat people.

I live in Texas and had this pretty much happen to me. We had just literally locked our doors at work when 3 guys came running up to our doors with guns. One guy beat our customer we just let out and dragged him off. The other two guys started pulling at the doors yelling at us to let them in. I had to call 911 three

i got assaulted on the metro, called 911 and they told me there was nothing they could do about it. fuck dc.

I had a similar experience in Cincinnati—witnessed a car accident down the street from my home (luckily everyone was OK and we're also right on the border of the university's medical campus and multiple hospitals), called 911, and was met with an automated message that said that all circuits were busy and to try again

That's horrifying. Was it a weekend night? Was it a bad neighborhood? I am trying to understand why this would happen. Was it a small town and they were all on break? Good for you for getting the fuck out of there.

At least he talked to a real person at some point. When I was teaching in Cincinnati, there was a huge brawl (people wielding damn broken bottles and other crap) starting in the parking lot after a football game. I called 911 and got a hold message. As in, your call is important to us, please stay on the line. Not

Last time I called 911, I was on hold for about 7 minutes - not exaggerating. It was that day that that tornado hit Brooklyn, but still, what if someone was like, bleeding profusely? Clearly, I am still upset about this.

Hell, y'all, all I know is that this looks WAY too close to the hospital-issue undies they gave me in the maternity ward after having my baby.

But her bathing suit is just terrible.

it sure is... How does Mark not know that a cinnabon doesn't have any honey on it.

Sorry, but the contestants are under a time limit including all the definition, sentence and language of origin parts. Baily just decided to grab attention from a little kid that was under a lot of pressure, potentially throwing him off to make a joke the kid didn't get. Dr. Bailly, it's not about you let the kid

It seems plausible that she was telling him to stop because he was, in fact, reading the wrong sentence.

These are the kinds of adults that Roald Dahl wrote about: humorless bridge trolls.

Unfortunately for Emily she made one of the movies she used to hate...

Imma need no less than 5 posts today about Maya Angelou.
