It’s cheap transportation, and to give it as an example of luxury spending is insane.

Why are you adding to the absurd culture war bullshit that miscasts e-bikes as some wild, elitist luxury item?
“Sports car”
Because it works as 2 separate vehicles: an EV for short trips and regular commuting duty, and an ICE mile-eater with essentially instant refuel/charging for longer trips - and is appreciably cheaper to buy than a pure EV. And lastly, much, much lighter than a pure EV.
Can we talk about how great this emblem is?
You know the CX500 is a piece of shit, right? Drum brake, shaft drive, ugly wheels, low power, ugly rad, and carbs full of NLA parts.
They run fine until the stator goes, which is a massive service due to the drivetrain layout.
a Mustang will always be a Muscle Car to me
My real projects are motorcycle and bicycle, and home improvement/woodworking. I still daydream and fantasize quite a bit about car projects, though. Like, a 10k RPM KLZE with ITBs and 6-into-1 exhaust in an FC with 315's at all 4 corners, or a mid-engined Bricklin, or a stanced AMC Matador, etc. I don’t pursue these…
I don’t know you, but I like you.
Rent a flat above a shop
Cut your hair and get a job
Smoke some fags and play some pool
Pretend you never went to school
But still you’ll never get it right
‘Cause when you’re laid in bed at night
Watching roaches climb the wall
If you called your dad he could stop it all, yeah
I agree with you that the CBX is one of the best-sounding engines of any type, displacement, or price - provided you put a decent 6-into-2-into-1 exhaust on it.
Not even that. Fake engine noises are shameful. If you want the sound of a CBX, get a CBX - otherwise you don’t deserve it.
6 wheels or GTFO:
Maybe if the cars had a footprint smaller than a fucking Hummer and were designed less like inverted fighter jets and more like cars it would be possible for people to actually pass without the permission/cooperation of the person being passed.
The original GT40, and it’s not even close.
FYI - in a lot of cases you’d have to upgrade the crank and in some cases even the block.
Barra is hoping to keep prices relatively low, banking on chemistry breakthroughs to cut battery costs, offsetting huge price increases for Lithium and other key elements that make batteries work
So, if the solution isn’t infrastructure that keeps mentally ill drivers completely separate from vulnerable road users, what is the solution?
