Personally I think Steam is a terrible service due to the DRM. If it wasn't for the DRM(and I would assume forced updates could become a none-issue absent DRM), then I would love it. But I don't, it's only marginally better than some similar services and DRM practices, that doesn't make it good.

Australia is bad for caps, but speeds seem to be improving quite nicely. Whereas in the US, there are huge swaths of areas that don't even have basic net access, much less a decent broadband option.
