It depends. For us, they're great. The take care of the common areas, and everyone's front yard. But they can get strange and very imperialistic sometimes.

Ehh, actually yes. They have hitched their wagons to Chen Guangcheng saying that he is a pro-life activist who is battling the evils of abortions. They have completely convoluted his work on human rights because it is related to the pro choice movement.

I think that it has something to do with how the Marines marketing themselves as the toughest branch of service, and that calling someone who is not longer active an "ex" Marine strips them of that badge of courage. Having not been a Marine I'm not exactly sure though.
It's a Marine lingo thing. "There is no such thing as an EX MARINE!" You are always a Marine. Regardless of your active or retired or discharged status. I'd imagine if you were dishonorably discharged the rest of the Marines wouldn't want to be associated with you, but it's always the safest choice to say "former…

It's orchestrated. Not necessarily fake-fake, but it's staged. I'm sure, as some people have said, there are legit street hails, but most of the people who "exposed" it were recruited by a producer. It's been discussed pretty heavily in this conversation.

I mean people don't just randomly walk in there. The items are real, the people are living breathing owners, but they don't just decide to go there. I wish I still knew what website I read it on the broke down why and how it's staged.
