Man it seems like I really missed out. I served for 9 years and I didn’t rape anyone kill anyone or commit any war crimes. Missed opportunity I suppose.

I can't speak for most countries, but all the different ones I visited, we were welcomed by the people. The only one that was a bit iffy was Hong Kong right after it reverted back to Chinese rule vs. Britain.  But then, that was a very uncertain time for them.

I hope you are are right, I truly do. But when is the last time you saw a Government agency function in a logical/rational manner? Heck, the last time one functioned in the interest of the People instead of their own pockets?

I agree completely with this concept. Not every precinct needs assault weapons and mine resistant armored vehicles. That funding could and should absolutely go to better training, community programs, social services, etc. However I don’t believe that will be the reality in many cases.

Here’s the really shitty part. You think cops suck now? Just wait until some of these police departments actually get “defunded”. A significant part of that funding is going to come from training. Now you’re going to have people on the street with guns with less training than they have currently.
