It’s a show of respect. I do hold doors open etc. for other people, but I admit I will go much further out of my way to assist a lady, or hold a door open or whatever than I would for another guy. Especially a solo woman with a kid.

It’s how I was raised. Worked out pretty well for me so far.

I’m gonna go with the publicity he gets from blogs like this everytime he takes a new picture of celebrity nudity. So in Jez posting their outrage, they keep him employed. The only way to get rid of Terry and others like him is to stop talking about them and stop writing articles about them.

Again sit-ins at lunch counters, kneel-ins in churches, even marches down the street are fantastic ways to make a point. And as history proves they can work.

I think refusing to give up your seat on a bus or refusing to move seats is not quite the same as blocking an entire highway or a bridge. The first is a passive demonstration that shows your resolve, the second annoys people and deflects sympathy for your cause.
