I only wear makeup at work. I work at a hotel and I notice that guests respond to me better when I'm wearing makeup. I'll get more tips, people complain nicer, I get more compliments. As soon as I get off work, I wash all that crap off! Even if I go out, I'll only put on mascara and *maybe* some concealer.

I've noticed this trend too. I mainly listen to Texas country music, (I know, I know), and I can name maybe 1 or 2 ladies who are big in this genre, or even regular country music. I actually make it a point to seek out more female musicians when I'm searching for new music.
