Who put you in charge of what matters?

They could try cancelling the Nugent concert if they get enough sales.
And as a follow up, if Italy is out now, can anyone else do anything to him? Does FIFA have any power over FA or anyone else who might employ him?
Exhibit A in why it's hard to take this sport seriously.
Well, see, in that case it actually happened. And the guy got in serious trouble for it. This case, one guy kind of prance-kicked the other one, who promptly flopped. And then they had a big euro-trash jazz hands fight about it and those British guys acted outraged.
That was, btw, a total flop by the Uruguayan player.
Oh we absolutely have. Ever since I was a kid, in the late 1980s, every World Cup, the coverage was always breathless "This is it for soccer! This World Cup is really going to do it! Just think of all those kids playing soccer and they'll just go nuts and push their parents into it — and just wait until they grow up!"
If Beckham wasn't the league's savior, they sure paid him like he was supposed to be.

Typically, they do.
That is almost exactly what people said in the middle of the 94 world cup.
Because the people pushing it are so fucking irritating. I played it for 13 years and accept that by the time the next world cup comes around my son is going to demand to watch it. But that doesn't mean most soccer fans couldn't use a good punch in the face.
But just like St Louis bros, there are many many many many elitist hipster soccer fans who are clearly interested in the sport as an irritating affectation. And that does matter.
Posh? There's your problem.
Wow. It's almost as popular as an NBA game?
Yeah, you're right... no way, that pro sports teams will try to protect their brands.
Yeah, while not technically a pro sports organization, big-time college football might as well be and will aggressively defend their trademark like they are.
You seem to be reading something that I haven't said.
The league had ownership of the name, so there was no issue. Not sure what point you are trying to make, but professional sports franchises very carefully protect their names and logos, and are very willing to intervene if they feel it's threatened.
