We still need a Quark's here in NYC.

I'm just shocked that Firefly is going to win a "best ________ ever" contest of some type on io9.

I have a feeling this one will get the most votes. Browncoats flock to polls, like nerdy seagulls.

Caw-caw.

Caw- caw.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Not a serious vote, especially when compared to all the great space shows over the years, but I really liked the ship designs.

Mystery Science Theater 3000: It takes place in outer space, so it counts.

That would be kinda trippy, considering what ended up happening to Robert Blake.

So it becomes a different take on Pirandello's Six Characters in Search of an Author — six replicants in search of a creator (six if you're counting Deckard and Rachel).

What I like about that is it reflects both PKD's and Ridley Scott's positions as the creator who is jerking around his characters like a puppeteer. Tyrell becomes a stand-in for the author/director.

I think Tyrell was more into testing the limits of his own creations (and also stroking his own ego in the process).

I have frustrating tastes.

"You STAGED a robot fight?!"
