I feel for you. I'm a T-Mobile customer. Have been since 2007 and been very happy with the service, plans and phones. Sending out a virtual hug to all the T-Mo employees because I figured if AT&T took over a good portion of the employees would be laid off.

Well, crap. In another thread I said I wouldn't go with any of the carriers, and go back to a pre-paid plan...but this is sounding kinda good. Sprint may lure me in if the deal goes through in 12 months. (Until then I'll hold out with T-Mobile to see what happens)

Soon-to-be-displaced T-Mobile customer here. I will not, I repeat, will not go with AT&T. I may go back to a pre-paid plan I had before I bought my Nexus One. I love my smart phone. I love my non-contract plan. I'm quite upset about this whole merger. I'm really hoping it won't go through.

Cool vid.

Whoa. It works. Just happened to have a glass. I usually get one bar of 3G in my office (if that, even). I've never seen it go above 2. I'm now seeing 3 bars. Too bad texting and calling is a bit difficult...(lol)

Oh, gawd. I couldn't stop myself. I watched it. Now I wanna burn my ears and eyes off...

I hope you're right. I'm with T-Mobile since 2007 and been very happy with the service. I chose T-Mobile for their non-contract plan and that they use GSM instead of CDMA. If they do merge, I'd want to stay GSM, so I guess my only choice would be AT&T. And that's not a choice I can believe in.

I stopped watching movies on TV channels years ago. Why? Commercials. And I know I'm not alone.

If it works, I'll keep it and use it till it's dead. I'm still using an old Compaq Pentium II desktop. Has Crunch/Bang Linux on it. Still works great, so why should I get rid of it? I also have a 9 year old Dell desktop, and a 5 year old Thinkpad laptop. All use Ubuntu and work perfectly fine.

And with all this attention on Huffpost & Gawker, she just sold another 100K books :-)

When it was reported that Jobs was going to take a medical leave of absence from Apple, again, I kind of had a feeling that it was more than just for some rest.

That's pretty interesting. I'm going to try it. I've got a coffee mug that I love that's riddled with hairline cracks.

And then that's when I'll take the plunge and root my N1 :-)

Well, damn. I could have used this trick about two months ago when everyone I knew had gotten hit with a trojan, then came to me to fix it.

How amusing. Especially since I see autographed photos, playbills, souvenir brochures, articles of clothing (for plays and musicals) all the time...

@Riff-Raff: I know. I hate them for that.

The only one I wasn't familiar with was that weird 8-track player. I had never seen anything like that before.

I have two external hard drives, one 1.5TB and one 2TB. The 1.5 is pretty close to being filled up — backups of my music and DVD collection — Haven't scratched the surface of the 2TB one yet.
