Yeah, it's not great for anything crazy but I'm running shmups like Crimzon Clover and Blue Wish Resurrection (which have a TON of effects/bullets going on) and it runs flawlessly. Give it a shot, it literally takes 2 minutes to install, if it doesn't work, no harm no foul :)

Look up WineBottler. It runs most non intensive PC programs on your Mac without needing to do anything crazy. I use it run 2D PC shmups all the time and it works nearly perfectly for what I need. This game looks like it would be fine. It's a free app too. No partitions, no giant software packages.
