Digital zoom" is just a crop of your full-frame shot with a bit of processing tossed in though. The 52mm lens on the top-end model is an actual telephoto lens, which would be a much better option, IMO.

Meh. I don’t think iPhone 11 is designed to be a bargain phone. It’s the latest generation and priced as such. iPhone 8 is $450 now though. I’ve been using the same iPhone 8 for 3+ years and it’s a champ. That’s your bargain!

The original iPhone sold for $499 in 2007 and required that you enter into a 2-year contract with Cingular (remember them?) Plugging that into an inflation calculator gives approx. $592 in 2019 dollars. So the price has gone up by about $100 over a 12 year period but you can buy it outright without a contract. Seems

Uh, I’ll be replacing my Series 0 with this Series 5.  My Series 0 works just like it did when I bought it...actually, software upgrades have improved it a bit over time.

Except it does quite the opposite doesn’t it? This is a very slight upgrade. Which means the past few models of the watch are still very much viable. It is not at all a yearly need to upgrade.

Sure, we all want to see this flattering angle of everyone’s nostrils and triple chin. In this case i guess it’s just better to stick to the instructions given by your username..

I have a Series 3 w/ cellular which I take off the charger at roughly 7:30am, after a full day of wearing it and a 30-60 minute workout, it gets down to about 65-70% battery. I throw it back on the changer because I don’t really care about longevity but it could easily last two days between charges.

I guess it’s just me, but the always on screen is enough to get me to upgrade from the 3 to the 5.

What’s with the “all day battery” shot.  I “unplugged” my series 4 yesterday at noon, it’s now 14 hours later and at 51 percent.  I’ve worn it the entire time, using for sleep tracking via Pillow and did a workout this morning.  Who here has a semi-new Watch that can’t last at least one day?

“That's OUR job!"

“That’s like re-segregating the country, why would we want that? Besides of course the reasons Tucker Carlson and I lay out every night.”

The new Scientology.

There is something missing in this article:

Obama stopped US refueling and ammunition sales to the coalition in Yemen, far too late, but Trump began them again. Given Yemen is currently a core haven for surviving al-Qaeda, some of whom seem to be getting money from either the Saudis or the UAE as local militias, I wonder when Mattis will criticize that failure.

There are no good guys in this story.

He also met with the Saudis first thing and told MBS that we would back them as a stabilizer in the region, which emboldened Saudi Arabia to start bombing school buses and chopping up journalists.

He was aligned with the wildly deranged “we must have war with Iran” pseudo-intellectual industry as well as some ties to anti-Muslim groups as well. He’s been coasting on the generally uncritical portrayal of military leadership in civilian press and being the “adult” in Trump’s daycare.

Dude was a beloved figure in the Marine Corps who squandered that goodwill by getting in bed with this administration. Then you find out he was a big backer for the Theranos fraud and you wonder, is he just super gullible or is “the warrior monk” just trying to grab as much cash as he can after a long career.

THIS. Even if the Senate will not vote for impeachment, let the process happen. Let it be part of the historical record.

Exactly. Turnabout is fair play. They hammered Hillary for years (she did herself few favors) and it cost this country in 2016. Remind every ‘moderate’ and ‘centrist’ while also firing up the progressives by repeatedly reminding everyone of his corruption and awful policies. Let the primary chips fall where they may
