Not to be picky, but a Rifle would be a tough shot. I believe the word you were looking for was "Shotgun".
But Yea, Sounds like it'd be fun. #FromTexas

"But critics say that the use of Avitrol — which is banned entirely in several states..."
You know, this is Texas. If they absolutely had to kill these birds, you're telling me the airline couldn't find ONE dude in the whole state with a rifle who could take them out instantly?
I've also seen them use air cannons to scare them off with a loud bang every once in a while. In fact, FLL has one at the end of the runway and controllers can fire it on demand if birds are near the runway.
It's totally unnecessary, though. Most airports don't kill their birds. They just use things like noisemakers and even falconers to scare them off.
They easily could've done what other airports have done and hired a company that uses raptors to fly around the facility and drive other birds off. That's what they do at JFK. Other airports also employ dogs to drive birds off the grounds.
Several passengers interviewed said the bird deaths were the "most pleasant" part of the entire United experience.
Oh, man, I better start looking up local burn centers.
If defending something means losing your humanity, then it is no longer worth defending. The real enemy is the hatred that destroys a community like this from the inside.
Peace, humanity, and life are more important than land.
What these teens say IS important. They are the next generation of leaders, of soldiers, of teachers. What they are spewing is fascist genocide. It's not even ironic. It's horrifying.
My family are Israeli-Arabs. Thanks for the laugh about living in peace. I'm guessing you've never been to an Arab village in Israel before. They are treated like third class citizens. But, that is nothing compared to what is happening in Gaza. These racist morons are joining the army too? I pray for Palestine.
No. In amaerica, isreal is seen as heroic and palastine is depicted as evil. A story like this shows reality: Both sides are wrong.
If people who claim to be the representatives of all Jews bulldozed my home, killed my family, and occupied my country for 45 years, I might say I hate Jews, too. It wouldn't be right, but focusing on it also wouldn't be the solution. The solution would be to end the occupation, stop bulldozing homes, and offer the…
Riiiiiight
go back to Reddit, goon.
I have friends from Israel. I've met people that have not openly wished death/harm on Arabs, but have made it abundantly clear that they hate them. It's quite surreal to have a conversation with someone and have them speak with such disgust about a general group of people.
The video being worse doesn't mean that these tweets should be dismissed as just "teens making horrible statements", this isn't just people being "idiots" because they're "left to their own devices" on social media. Not only do these tweets have consequences, but they're also evidence of something larger and endemic.
Weird, it's almost as though living in occupied territory and constantly suffering retaliatory overreaction strikes from your wealthy heavily militarized neighbor in reaction to a few assholes in your government shooting glorified fireworks at them will breed resentment somehow.
No wonder most Americans automatically side with Israel, we're both wealthy nations filled with shamelessly self-absorbed assholes so far removed from any conflict we enter that it's incredibly easy to cheerlead for atrocities. I wish I could even be surprised that Violent Nationalism Selfies are a thing, but I can't.
"Free Palestine"
To a huge chunk of the public that sounds like "gas the jews again" thanks to some media. Looking at you, FoxNews!
