That’s a poor analogy, did the US actively colonize other lands and is it stuck in an active conflict with people it displaced? A better analogy is like the US trying to claim it’s capital can be in Manilla and who cares what the residents think.

Just because Israel claims it doesn’t mean the rest of the world recognizes it. Let’s not be coy, Israel is actively trying to change the demographics of Jerusalem in order to strengthen its claims and then claim a fait accompli.

In their minds they’re doing the right thing, because view abortion as murder and they think they will save millions of lives if they can just get enough Reoublicans in office for long enough... so anything up to that point including voting for a rapist is okay as the lesser evil.
