It’s not consensual if she’s not okay. How lovely of you to be so worried about her rapist, though!

And what if kayjaysee had been in a car, instead of a bike on that snowy day? That's not a "stupid decision" in your view, right? Who would be at fault then, if a 2 x 2 ice sheet flies off to threaten innocent motorists in other lanes, who are following at a safe distance?

Washington, D.C. :) Never realized Atlanta used that term, too.

It's a pleasure "meeting" you, too. :) Yup, I went to college in Northern California (where I lived from ages 3-24). Been in Chocolate City for almost 15 years.

Yes.

Take heart, friend. At my alma mater, AOPi was probably the *most* diverse Panhellenic house. Asian American president, girls of every socio-economic background, ethnicity, orientation, etc. The differences between a house's chapters from school to school can be so dramatic (and disheartening).

I started laughing at work (drawing several stares), because I do the exact. same. thing. :)

Another girl...in a MULTICULTURAL house...did the "eye" thing? At SFSU?! I'm from Northern CA, went to Davis 20 years ago, *Davis*, which is not even in the Bay, and no one would've done that. Wow.

I don't even know you and you would have been my rush crush. Their. Fucking. Loss. I was a dark-skinned girl in the most exclusive white sorority at my school and I went through two rushes after I pledged— skin color was NEVER brought up. EVER.

I'm a WOC and I was a Delta Gamma at a state school. I wasn't a token and I was in the most "elite" house on campus. I agree with the spirit of Fiddy's comment and can confirm that chapters vary dramatically based on the campus that they are on, the size of the university, the state that they're in, etc. The fact that

True story: we walk around saying "Jub Jub" all the time. It's just fun, it's never gotten old. Clouseau has such a delightful smile. What a merry pup. Love.

Losing a pet is a special sort of heartbreak that just guts you; the world seems dimmer without them in it. May your memories of your beautiful boy be a source of comfort to you. <3

Black mutts with white chins and a white patch on their chests who are part spaniel, you say? Meet Jub Jub. Half-Cocker Spaniel, half-Boston Terrier, fully awesome (and no longer gassy thanks to fat-free plain yogurt):

Preach.

I agree with you and I've wondered about this, too. I think it's akin to taking a page you ripped out of a magazine to your hairdresser to show them what you'd like...just 100x more disturbing and permanent.

But people (not you!) ARE saying there's something wrong with having one. That's the problem.

I know you didn't say it, but I'm not hurt over the snatch of bitterness ("skinny girl, fat face") that has launched a dozen comment convos here, so I promise *I'm* not taking it personally, but it's just an unnecessary, mean thing to say about someone who is a professional model and thus, has proven her physical

Wow, I've never seen that picture. I did not recognize her in it, thank you for sharing!

To me, THAT is a fair criticism. Fat face, chubby cheeks, overgrown toddler...not so much.

This is why we can't have nice things. Or chubby cheeks.
