Piratical? Less vents? The entire back of the PS4 is vents. You can see that mere seconds into the video.

So you legitimately do not care that you are in full control of devices you own (I give consoles a pass on this since all you do on them is play games), preventing you from fully protecting your privacy, data, and efficiently using what you paid for? You don't care that YOU decide what you should run on your phone,…
Honestly that sounds more than a little like FUD to me.
I personally have no strong opinion on the design; it just seems a bit on the bland side.
They could check against a preset number of roms or whether or not sudo works, I guess? I'm no android expert, but I imagine there are a couple things the OS reports that could be used for this purpose.
I'm glad to hear that the changes are so positive. I too am a huge fan of the DS2 (less so the DS3's triggers) and still think that overall the DS design is simply the best controller ever made. I use a DS2 with an adapter for all my PC gaming, and honestly would have been pretty bummed if the DS4 wasn't up to snuff.
Yeah, because when I think of a $500 piece of electronics, the first thing that comes to mind is that I want to not even realize it's there. :P
Sometimes, I think I'm the only person in the world who has seen the movie that this game was based on.
In general, I'm quite tolerant of faults in games that are trying hard to innovate or do something really novel. I can understand (and identify with) the terror that is paying full price for something that doesn't even remotely meet your expectations, though. However, it's actually much rarer these days to encounter…
This strikes me as "it doesn't affect me, and I don't see the need for it, so fuck you guys" logic. That's never, ever, a sound way to approach something, especially when it's something that impacts your freedom (in this case, buying and using a device which you do not have full control over).
Still pretty scummy. It was an indefensible action on their part, yet here they are still trying to defend it.
Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Xenogears, FF IV, VI, VII, IX, Wild Arms (Alter Code:F if you can find it), WA 2, Grandia, Grandia 2, Persona 3 & 4... I'm likely forgetting too many to count.
Funny thing: I bought a copy of Suikoden II a couple years back and it has done nothing but sit on my shelf collecting dust and value. :/ I really should play it.
Personally love Chuunibiyo, but that's mainly because it's so self-conscious. Shows that are less self-aware and heavily chuuni in nature though definitely can grate.
I feel sometimes like I'm a bad person for avoiding dubs in general, but then I wind up hearing bits and pieces of them randomly and get my bias confirmed so often. It's the rarest of dubs that comes close to the original, regardless of source language or medium.
TBH, the thing that drove me away from Payday early on was that something about the camera (not entirely sure what it was) made me really nauseous. It almost seems like the camera position is too high up or something, very strange.
You do understand that a large percentage of what is claimed in most ToSes doesn't hold up in court, right? Corps write them to be as broad as possible, only modifying them specifically when challenged in court.
Wow, that's seriously scummy.
The thing I don't like about the original is how it's basically horde mode mowing down endless waves of cops. The interesting parts — the setup, planning, and initial execution — can only make the inevitable waves of cops easier or come a bit later.
As someone who lives, eats, and breathes immersive sims, I can only see your position as madness.
