Same. I liked the combat/classes, but the obnoxious characters and idiotic plot made it overall a sour experience for me, and I would never recommend the game to anyone, personally.

You need the base game (completed iirc) in order to play Revelation

Actually Revelation is a third story path, not a sequel/expansion to the two. It’s the “true ending” more or less. It splits from the same exact spot the plot splits for the Hoshido/Nohr paths.

New FE game hits the west this month, so I do half expect them to add yet another FE person. Though the new game doesn’t have a lord like the previous ones (they blended it with the create-a-character).

I’m not sure how far along I was into the game, but I had similar issues. I was (admittedly) also awful at the Pokemon-esq part of the game, which just added to my frustrations in the fights.

I’m curious about the point perks for playing games. The first thing that came to mind is maybe rewarding people who have super popular Mario Maker levels. Something like that would be pretty cool. Even if it’s only a few, in the old Club Nintendo sometimes that’s all that stood between someone and the awesome prize

Ugh the wartable! I feel like if there were some way for it to just BE the stupid cellphone thing it so clearly wanted to be, it would have been better. Like if it was a website/app that let you schedule that shit (while out, at work, etc) and it interfaced with your save file, so when you got back to the game there

It definitely requires more than /just/ watching media, but it certainly is a useful aid to learning. So if you learn some words/grammar, then it crops up in something you’re watching, you’re familiarizing yourself with it.

It was Pokemon Gold/Silver that he did the optimization for. With his help, they were able to add Kanto back in for the sequel, when originally they were struggling to fit just Johto.

I am just here to say that Sakanaction is one of my favorite groups right now, and I am so stoked that they’re doing the score and music for the Bakuman movie!

Spoilers?

There is only one option for gay/lesbian. So if you don’t marry the girl with your girl, you can hook her up with one of 3~ guys (but no girls). The same for the guy (he can hook up with one of 3~ girls).

Well... [SPOILERS]

She has deep reverence for both Mao and North Korea. It was nice she paid the money, but I really don’t see how Mao/North Korea worship is somehow less bad than Confederacy worship.

The other thing about the new Fire Emblem is that the trailer/info shown has been known, because Japan gets the game in eight days. The only “new” thing was the English VAs. Not to mention that even for the fanbase the game’s sort of been rocking the boat, so to speak.

I crossdress, but not as drag or cosplay/etc. I like men’s styles as much as women’s styles, and don’t really see any reason to limit myself to one. And that’s... Pretty much it. Also guys t-shirts have way way better sleeves than girls. Fuck those cap sleeves.

Recently playing through the Dragon Age games and sometimes it feels like an exercise in how to bust the AI or exploit things.

This would have been so useful last year for me. I wrote a paper on French video games (focusing on narrative arc— probably pretty boring to most) and had a lot of issue pinning down how to frame Ubisoft and its devs. Ultimately I went with (probably the most logical conclusion) and based it off the lead writer’s

Sounds like the woman they have playing Usagi in the new Sailor Moon redub. It's not god-awful, but it does sound a bit like someone reading the lines for the first time. Also a very I'M ACTING feel to it.

Download makes you chose after chapter 6, at which point your choice locks the other campaign out of your game. So you can take that to mean that the first 6 chapters are probably identical in both stories.
