In games that focus on the "Good vs Bad" style and let you choose, I typically do both versions. Usually it's more fun to be bad but I've had situations on the "bad" side that made me feel like the scum of the Earth.

Gears of War 3 has many moments that make me feel uneasy. Specifically, fire based weapons and some of the close executions. I've never played a Civ game before. It looks really fun and unique...if not a bit time consuming. However, I'm having a tough time pin pointing where you have "fun"...if that makes any sense at all?
