And as Big Jim Slade said, there will be compromises versus the PC versions of some games....like all the bells & whistles from Witcher 2 or the amount of players/special effects/whatever in games like Battlefield 3...but even still. It all looks good.

It's all dedicated to that hardware set. A friend and myself were talking about that just yesterday. It's a combination of factors that allow games to look as good as they do on the 360/PS3. Without going into an crazy amounts of detail... it essentially boils down to incredible resource management, optimizing for

Looks like I'll be working on my backlog for AT LEAST the next two or three months. Bills are starting to hit me left and right and I'll be returning to college this Fall. Good lawd, I forgot how high tuition was. :|

Yahtzee reviews are literally the only reason I ever visit the Escapist.

That's...incredibly depressing. :|

Her eyes look like they're closed up until the point where she looks up at that other lady.

In Gears of War 3, there is no "Stand to crouch" position unless you're on a wall that's tall enough. Do believe that the Gears 3 players have found genius ways to belittle their opponents.

Not only that but you'll bring the campaign to their house and show the Queen Chief's plasma cannon. :D

Probably was the spawning system. I enjoyed the heck out of Far Cry 2 but the voice acting (sounds like everyone is talking super fast) and the fact that enemy spawns were overwhelming, kind of irked me. I'm giving it a second go on the PC to see if its been fixed or just to put up with it and beat the game. That and

I've never played a Pikmin game but I've heard nothing but good things about it from every person I know who's played it. On that alone, I'd say get it.

I was going to get Minecraft on the PC but everyone I play with is on the 360 so I didn't bother getting it again. Especially since it's about to get an update that should bring it up to par with the PC version.

Had a pretty awesome weekend myself. I've been playing Magicka and Far Cry 2 on my PC and NFS:Hot Pursuit and Gears 3 on my 360. Had a ton of extra time to myself so I got a good bit of gaming in. The weather was absolute trash too so I had plenty of excuses to just sit around and play vidya games. :D

I've been spending a lot of time on Steam this past weekend. I ended up downloading Magicka and all it's DLC for like $7. Man, that game is so awesome. It's incredibly funny with a friend and pretty challenging. I've been mostly bouncing between that and Far Cry 2. What has everyone else been playing?

I've been playing Magicka over the past few days and this game is hilariously awesome.

Can not wait for PS2! Myself and a coworker are stupid pumped for it. :D

This is true. Sounds like it's copy/pasted from an advertisement.

"He had no information on a release date for either pack, and noted that they are separate extensions."

I'm totally okay with not having an Xbox All Star Smash Brothers Live.

The comment I made was partially in jest, I figured there had to be a reason behind it! Haha but seriously, pole dancing does look pretty intense and I hear it actually does wonders for your core. Not that I'd ever get into it because I'm a guy and all but props to any of the ladies who can do the "simplest" of things
