See, that’s why, when I think about what these folks deserve, I don’t hope that we put their heads on sticks or anything, but that they somehow find themselves very poor, and unable to get help. I just want then to know real struggle, one without family safety nets, because all their connections are poor, too.

I know there are plenty of non-white folks in Alabama who are tired of being fucked over by the system (what’s up, Dothan?) This is a level of logic unfortunately unreachable with the average level of education in Alabama.

Aside from the possibility of marital infidelity, I’d also like to submit the idea of something involving one or both of their children. Parents will do harm to a guy when kids are involved. No idea if either had kids, of course, tralalalala.

I have yet to hear mention of his (current?) wife and child(ren?) in all this, which I find odd. Mention of in-laws, not ex in-laws, but no mention of current domestic situation. I really hope she/they are safe and unharmed.
