My SO is a dentist, so I go to many dentist-related outtings and get-togethers. The majority of the dentists who actually care about the quality of their work tend to stick together and form a tight-knit community.

Careful with those dental discount plans. I looked into those and found out that although they are cheaper and seem to have higher payouts, the only dentists in my area that accept those discount plans are the ones with horrible reviews!
