OK I googled “bool,” and learned that in computer programming, bool is a value that is either true or false.

Am I supposed to know what a “BOOL” is?

I thought for sure that the doll Nick gave to Nichole would have some kind of tracking or listening device hidden inside it. I still don’t completely trust Nick.

Or at least punch her once or twice.

You’re right, “reality” was the wrong word. I should have used “believability—even within a fictional world” or “logical human behavior” instead.

I was really hoping for a different arc for Janine, in which—after she was left behind—she finally understands the stakes and became focused and trained hard until she became a legendary bad-ass rebel leader who was feared by all of Gilead.

I think I would much rather not be pandered to and not have this show think so little of my intelligence as an audience member. Believable stories can be created without relying on tropes. Character development doesn’t need to be abandoned for a feel good—but ultimately worthless—happy ending. I’d rather have the

For the life of me, I cannot understand all of the positive reviews I keep running across for this show’s final season. Are critics so completely starved and grateful for a show featuring trans actors that they completely disregard the things they should be critiquing?

It didn’t read as discomfort to me. It read as concern. June had been hesitant to interact physically with Luke since her return and he was being very considerate and thoughtful in how he approached her. So when she suddenly wanted sex without explanation or discussion, Luke was concerned about why she made the sudden

You’re jumping to a lot of conclusions, since you don’t know what Luke thought of the encounter, if he considered it to be unwelcome sexual activity, and the fact that Luke—a very large and well-built man—did not stop the encounter which he could have easily done if it was unwanted. You don’t know what he was

You’re jumping to conclusions in order to promote what happened as a rape. You don’t know why Luke said “Wait.” I understood it as him being concerned that she night be having sex with him for his benefit, as in “Wait, are you sure?” and her shutting that down was her confirming that she did, indeed, want to continue

She didn’t rape Luke.

The practice actually does affect me, as I am an English-speaking person who is used to reading and using words in ways that are clear and not confusing. I went through 12 years of public school education and 6 years of college and in all that time, “they” and “them” were taught to me and used by me as plural

So if you don’t scream cruel demeaning insults at your kid, you’re a fuckin pussy of a father?

Luke can’t really manage his anxiety if the biggest source of his anxiety lives in the same house, heaping criticism and scowling at him with disapproval and constant disappointment between fits of unbridled rage. Now that Paul is being kept at a distance, maybe Luke can relax and lower his defenses long enough to

A walking box would be an “it” then. Why would you apply any gender to a robot? Do you do that with your phone? Your TV?

It’s a robot, FFS.

I don’t think I’ve ever read a review and found myself with the exact polar opposite opinion of the reviewer on every single point before now.

Calling me and others in this thread an asshole, a rapist and a rape apologist, and you have the balls to tell me to fuck off?

You think screaming at your child and humiliating him in front of a crowd by raging at him and demeaning him and telling him that he has fucked up the entire family and that there’s something wrong with him as a person is just good old-fashioned parenting?
