Don’t forget, there’s that category 4 storm coming in. That’s why they have to take care of it right away, before the weather gets too crazy. The Coast Guard won’t be patrolling in that storm.

Compelling as melodrama but unsatisfying as a study of actual humans.
They didn’t say which building!
The “underage fan” in question is unquestionably gay, so she was obviously not sexually grooming him. She used questionable judgement by conversing with teens in the same way she would have conversed with adults (I guess, although nothing I’ve read would have been particularly shocking for a teen to hear). She…
Even though they “lost,” these bastards will still receive billions of dollars as a consolation prize, without the burden of taking on their father’s legacy. I hope we’re not supposed to feel sorry for anyone. I can only dream of losing so spectacularly.
Had we ever heard about “Living Plus” before tonight’s episode? My memory for that kind of detail is terrible. But if we have not, I have to say that I hate it when a show invents a new, never-before-seen-or-heard-about thing that is presented as a crucial plot point that just happens to perfectly demonstrate some…
I sort of feel like creating a show that is set in the 50s, glossing over the fact that society in the 1950s was very segregated, and that friendship groups in 1950s high schools would never have been as racially diverse as this show suggests is problematic. It ignores the hardship, struggles and indignities that…
For which character?
You beat me to it—I was going to say the same thing. In fact, wasn’t the opening number of season 2 of Galavant about how shocked everyone was about having been renewed for a second season?
I dunno, I just don’t trust Della’s new girlfriend. I have a feeling Della’s being set up for something...everything just seems to be a bit too easy and idyllic for the two of them.
I loved the season, loved seeing everyone again (though I wish Jane Lynch had been shown interacting with the cast more—not on an iPad), loved the cameo at the end (but is Casey a messy alcoholic now?) and I loved most of the new characters—Evie and Sackson were great additions.
Oh, I had not heard that. Well that sucks. It sure seems like there are a lot more than 3 season’s worth of stories that could be told.
After they let the last surviving pirate guy escape , they had to know that he would go back and report what happened to the pirate leader. So it seems pretty irresponsible that Karga had not spent every minute in between calling for reinforcements and putting together an army to protect their planet from the attack…
OK Manuel, choosing Victor/Victoria as your favorite Julie Andrews performance has put you squarely in the category of “can do no wrong” in my book.
If you remember, however, earlier in the episode he had Charlie hold the gun (which would put her fingerprints all over it). But you’re right though--it does him no good if he puts his prints on top of hers by handling the gun without gloves.
I wish the finale hadn’t relied so much on unbelievable coincidences. Like the fact that Charlie just happened to be at the same boat dock as Cliff. And how Charlie just happened to come across the glow-in-the-dark poker chips—which were well-hidden in Cliff’s bag, but somehow she went almost straight to them. And she…
Nope.
“[T]hey complain that reporters report on their lives, yet they turn around do the same thing.”
After watching episodes 1-3, I can most assuredly say I completely disagree with this review. I enjoyed it more than I have any other new show I’ve seen in the past year (The Last of Us being an obvious exception). And it nailed the mid-century catalog-perfect look, which doesn’t seem to be (as someone else asserted)…
For the most part, I enjoyed this recap/review. But what is it about the writers on this site and their desire to review a different show than the one that aired?
