That might have always been the case, whether she was charged with Murder 2 or not. Probably easier to get MS than Murder 2 with a biased jury pool. Better than nothing if they can get it.

The only reason “unhoused” is being used is that “homeless” is perceived as derogatory. “Unhoused” will be seen as equally derogatory if given enough time, because it’s not the word that’s the problem... it’s the idea behind it.
As in, “this decision is only valid if x% of the jurors were Black?”
Is the type in the headline on purpose?
My favorite part of this article is the interview Shanelle’s interview with Majors running in a pop-up at the bottom of this page.
Instead, you’d rather live in a world where larger, more violent people get to act however they want because all they have to claim is that someone insulted them, looked at their girl, laughed at them, etc... You want to replace the bright-line rule that “violence in response to words is prohibited” with “we’ll let…
I’m not a Nazi. I had this email/gamertag for over a decade before that “newspaper” was founded. Not changing it because some white supremacist basement dwellers use the word “storm.” But I bet it feels good to be self-assured that your perspective is so obviously correct, right?
A certain portion of the social-Left dictated the language everyone else in the world *must* use when discussing transgender issues. Refusal to accede to this dictate is apostasy. No matter your lived-experience, *their* lived-experience overrides.
Our society is weirdly contradictory about children’s culpability in their own decision-making.
Exactly. Is this “news worthy?” Does it have a point? Why is it ok to talk about Shipka’s romantic life now that she’s 22-years old. Drinking and voting are nice, but until you can rent a car on your own you don’t to fuck who you want?
What jobs are middle school bullies (especially those whose actions are criminal) eligible for? Should they be even allowed to attend college at all, given that a college degree is likely to result in a higher-than-average salary and net worth? Is military service allowed?
This article really should have an update informing the reader that the suspect was arrested 4 days ago.
I’ve never heard of an HOA arguing that they can enforce what is INSIDE your home. This is a new one for me.
“Lets find the “whitest” photo of Kareem possible.”- Some editor somewhere.
It’s hard to gerrymander a state-wide election.
I have two separate gripes with this game:
Does subbing out the “i” for “-” make it ok to type? Is it the “i” that makes it offensive?
Margaret Court would be hard to argue against, so would Bolt and Phelps. Call it recency bias for why Serena is “greater” than Court and an appreciation for a more complex athletic discipline for why she’s better than Bolt or Phelps.
I guess the question is between “Human who was/is objectively best at a physical thing” or “Human who most dominated his/her competition.”
I think you could make a legitimate argument* for “greatest athlete ever,” without a gender modifier at all. Has anyone else ever dominated their sport like she has? If you look at the men’s side, there was always 2-3 players who were fighting for the #1 spot. Roger and Rafa (and eventually Novak), Agassi and Sampras,…
