W hasn’t spoken at the last few GOP conventions. We can do the same with Bill Clinton. With each passing year, he becomes less and less relevant to where Democrats are now, there’s nobody in his family running for anything, he’s less popular with actual Democratic voters the farther away we get and he’s a disgusting

I think I could count the number of times I had heard the c word spoken aloud on one hand before seeing this movie. Not the case afterwards! I do remember thinking Kingsley was completely magnetic (having never seen anything else he was in, I was younger and just knew him as a “name” before) and that as uncomfortable

I do enjoy that the speeches have been so brief. Michelle Obama and Bernie Sanders had the longest ones that I saw and neither of them felt particularly long because we didn’t have the constant applause break.

THANK YOU, literally none of these are good. Doesn’t matter if it’s a blue background, black background, whatever. None of them are funny and all of them make the wearer look like a complete POS.

Is he still a raging right-winger these days?

You misunderstood, though, and you obviously do give a shit about my feelings.

I don’t actually hate the suburbs, but Trump did a lot better there than most people (myself included) thought he would. Remember Schumer’s “for every rust belt vote we lose, we’ll gain two from the suburbs” nonsense? In 2016 at least, the burbs were a lot more Trump-curious than we thought. I don’t think that will be

I actually agree with that. I very much remember how “Gush/Bore, they’re basically the same person” was a thing in the media. In retrospect, the environmental lawyer and the guy who ran an oil company may not have been the same and were actually quite different on the one issue that’s going to matter the most in the

Am I doing hero worship or the circular firing squad, then?

Hey, I know that it’s not possible to know this, as I have made my intentions for November very secretive in these replies. But just for you, I’ll spill the beans: I’m actually voting for Joe Biden in November (don’t tell anyone,) so you would probably be better off reaching out to some non-voters.

Oh, Marchman was stupid as hell for that. Same goes for the other Deadspin writers who wrote similar things in the How I Voted column (I know it wasn’t all of them, but enough did it to be annoying.)

I know I never mentioned this in the comment you’re replying to, but I actually AM going to vote for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in November, so you don’t need to educate me on why Trump is actually bad and that we shouldn’t vote for him.

I am old enough to remember all three of the elections you mentioned. Weirdly enough, I don’t remember any of them being lost because people on the internet criticized the Democratic candidates. As much as I might personally think Ralph Nader sucks (because he does,) he’s still not in my top 5 of reasons that we had

Too late to edit my reply, but “Mixed Feelings About Kamala Harris” isn’t technically the headline, but it is what’s showing on the browser tab I am using.

So judging from the comments on here, there’s just not really a way to offer criticism of a Democratic ticket (which I’m voting for.) You just can’t do it or you personally want Trump to reign forever. Even if it’s not so much criticism as it is personal feelings surrounding something you are told is supposed to mean

One day we’re going to have to square the circle behind “online leftists are irrelevant dudebros who never accomplish anything” and “online leftists are responsible for every Democratic loss this century.” They can’t possibly both be true!

Be excited or don’t be excited but not everyone needs to hear about it.

But in a way I feel especially bad for those who still hold on to an idealized version of their parents well into adulthood

Wayne’s World is somehow a very dated early 90's time capsule and an absolutely timeless classic. Top 10 comedy of the 1990's.

Anecdotally, I can say this isn’t true. Plenty of young, single white women have voted Republican. Usually it’s a belief they picked up about how the undeserving are using their welfare money for free caviar brunches all the time or they come from a fairly sheltered/conservative Christian background. Or sometimes
