QUOTE | "I'm scared as a game developer to think about making a game." - Mike Capps, former president of Epic Games, talking about how hard it is to make a hit game these days and why he's not starting a new game studio.
This is one article that deserves auto-playing music to accompany it.
Just as a general point; it's FAR easier to make "sex sexy" when you're drawing it rather than animating models and risking the uncanny valley. I don't think by and large it's been a problem with tone or setting, much moreso that developers simply aren't good enough to do it yet.
I was playing league and some guy called me a man kissing faggot. i told him i was a girl so that wasn't really accurate. HUGE mistake. he spent the rest of the game talking about how he was going to find me, kidnap me, tie me up and rape me repeatedly with his "one inch asian dick." needless to say i'm never letting…
Atari right now is basically Infogrames with the Atari name and logo because it's a bigger brand. That's even who they were publishing DBZ games on PS2. It has pretty much nothing to do with the Atari that made the 2600 or even the Jaguar.
Can anyone ever explain the episodic stuff that Penny Arcade does sometimes? They sometimes have some nice dialogue, but I'll be damned if I could ever tell what the meaning behind them is.
Congratulations, Erik Johnson. You're very good at saying absolutely nothing while making it sound like you're telling the public what it wants to hear. I can see why you were hired.
I went to SCAD to study Sequential Art (comics), and one assignment we were told to contact an artist to request an interview, but were provided a list of artists whom we were "strongly recommended" not to contact. Johnen Vasquez was on the list; apparently when one past student asked him for an interview and…
My PSN account was hacked, and I delt with the fraudulent charges through American Express. I didn't get banned from the Playstation Network. However, Sony will no longer accept charges from ANY American Express card from my account, which for me is a real pain. At least I didn't get banned I guess.
I think this is just a cultural difference in storytelling style.
I thought Xenoblade Chronicles was one of the best games I've played, but if someone at hour 60 in a game doesn't feel like the experience has been worthwhile, I'd say at that point that that game obviously doesn't not have enough of a pull for that particular player. You never know exactly where a person is at in…
sorry we cant release the episode yet we need to polish it up for a few more months
You start off with the beginning events of Final Fantasy VII
I'm glad that Rockstar is seemingly free to do what they want to do with these stories, though it's not hard to wonder if GTA5 isn't something of a response to people saying "Why so serious?!" to GTA4. Which isn't to say that GTA5 isn't serious, it's just... GTA4 is haunting on a different level. And if you want to be…
Someone will hack/patch it before the months out, I'm sure.
Hey y'all - this is Randy from Tiger Style! So, actually, you have nearly full run of the game in any moon phase. The truth this article speaks applies almost entirely to the deep secrets, especially (one of) the final, mysterious ending(s) of the game.
It sounds like about as obtuse a way you could come up with to prolong gameplay. It's kinda neat as an idea, but in practice does nothing for the player other than dictate when they can play the game.
