I find it hilarious how predictable Jezebel is. It doesn't even differ from author to author—any given author will take a negative slant on any news story involving guns, even when this would seem to contradict the author's other positions. Is this an editorial edict, or are all these authors so similar in mindset?

I'm somewhat alarmed that their justification is that Scouts shouldn't be having sex. The organization includes late teens, after all—around that age, people WILL be experimenting, and it's in our best interest to make sure they're using protection rather than try to stop them entirely.

Apparently Nintendo wants to make Sideway New York as heroic fantasy starring an androgynous swordsman. Which, to be fair, will probably be better than the Sideway New York we originally got.

I don't live in New York, but I'm a frequent bus rider. I've made a habit of claiming the seats no one else wants. People who take up too much space move over if pushed, and smelly people can be dealt with by covering your nose. (Some people are so fat as to actually take up more than one space, but that's very rare.)

I'd definitely call it cute. Happy is iffier. (Also, it's aggressively postmodern, so stay away if you don't like being confused.)

This is actually BETTER animation than many scenes from Princess Tutu, a show that was supposed to be about dancing. (Some of the worst-animated scenes in that resembled the dances from Charlie Brown specials.)

It's the possibility of pregnancy that really gets to me. Can you imagine her, with that body and that outfit, with a baby bump? Does it make you want to gouge out your mind's eye?

I've heard the Atelier series explains these shopkeepers. By letting you play as one. Sounds interesting, to say the least.

Came down here to say that. Apparently, Mr. Nakamura doesn't read Yuria 100 Shiki. (Which I suppose is a point in his favor, all things considered—it's rather a "read it if you dare" sort of series, albeit on the comedy side of things.)

Reminds me of Star Trek. I've heard they wanted to cast extras from a lot of different racial backgrounds to give the impression of a blended future, but they kept having to specifically ask casting not to just give them young white guys.

One word: astroturfing. (Alternately, two words: sock puppets. Alternately, all I want for Christmas is a PSP.)

This site really flip-flops on how it treats Mormons, depending on whether they're treated as a minority or as a threat to minorities. (Treating them as human beings seems to be out of the question.)

Thanks!

Hmm . . . Private messages are apparently disabled.

As an erotica writer, I'm intrigued by the concept of "feminist porn", although I naturally approach things from a different angle. I've read a few stories that portrayed sex in such a way that I think both men and women would be able to get off to it, and I've been trying to mimic that in some of my own work, but I'm

I never beat Strange Journey, because I always felt too guilty to fuse my demons. It's like Nuzlocke Pokemon, only you're supposed to let your 'mons die. (It didn't help that I was roleplaying a neutral character who wanted demons and humans to get along—ludic dissonance ahoy!))

I dunno about that. There are definitely popular tricks that work on me (for instance, repetition firmly implants an ad in my brain), but a lot of the most popular tricks make me less rather than more likely to buy, and the ads that make me most likely to buy are generally rather unconventional. If we assume a certain

Hey, it seems to have worked out well for Erik "Lizardman" Sprague. (I'd mention Stalking Cat, but they think he killed himself, so . . .)
