Mortal Kombat is a little over-the-top for me too, and I'm not a fighting game fan anyway, I'm just saying let others enjoy it, and don't assume they're immature. I think we basically agree judging by this post, so yay!

Well your Django example is a deeper question than simply "why make this so violent? It made me uncomfortable." I'm not against deep questions, I'm against "hey I don't like violence why use it?" The answer and reasons are obvious, and some people not liking it changes nothing.

Crysis 3 looks amazing on PC. They should have held it for the console launches and had it be a big launch title. Would have sold one-to-one with shooter fans I bet. It's certainly better than Killzone.

The original Far Cry and Crysis were both great. Anyone who says they're boring played them in a boring way. Crysis especially is a sandbox, massive levels with a goal you can achieve however you want to, and with superpowers even. Incredibly fun, it got high ratings for a reason.

The industry is eclectic, same as movies (much more so really). Just like there are violent power fantasy movies there are violent power fantasy video games. Just like there are intense story-focused drama movies there are intense story-focused drama games. This goes on and on, all through every genre, style, and

There's two different question styles here though. Asking Tarantino why he does what he does, what his motivations are, influences are, etc. is very common and accepted. We like knowing more about how creators create.

Honest question though: why?

While you could certainly argue Ford shouldn't be the focus of the movie for a ton of reasons I dislike your post because it focuses solely on age. You can be "a 71 year old man" and still be a great character.

I wasn't using numbers to imply quality my friend, I was countering your statement that click-to-move is an uninstall today, and was only normal back when Fallout 2 came out. This is objectively false, since many of the most popular games in the world use that format.

Diablo 3 is "click to move" and is the best selling PC game of all time, and came out only a few years ago. LoL and DOTA2 are "click to move" and are currently the most played games in the world. I guess it depends on what you're used to.

Weird. Don't know what to tell ya.

Ran fine on my PC day one. I think it was ATI cards that had trouble? Don't remember.

I never had that problem. Make sure you have it set to cache in the settings, and make sure your HDD is up to snuff. Seriously you should only see the briefest of fade-in if you do a 180 turn extremely fast. Otherwise it should look fine.

Nowhere even close, at least on PC.

It's amusing when console gamers compare graphics.

You say that as a joke, but it's probably true.

This is how I would sum it up.

90% of the games bought elsewhere still go through Steam though. Steam is in almost full control of PC gaming, even if they're not a monopoly in the price competition sense.

Yeah but there's a more subtle way to do it I guess. In New Vegas the random dancing prostitutes at Gomorrah sound like they're having a fun party, rather than working to seduce you. It all depends on tone and such. Admittedly hard to get right with polygons and voice work.

Love the look of this but scared of the difficulty (I play RPGs 90% of the time, so not a strategy buff). Is it doable for a casual fan?
