@OrbitalGun: I might have to check it out on NBC.com. I watched the series premier of The Event last night on NBC.com - not bad. I'm not sure I like the video player, though. ABC.com's video quality is much better. On the other hand, the ads weren't too bad.

The looks perfect for forensic and archival photography. Also, I know someone mentioned this further down, but I can see this facilitating single-lens 3D (given a large enough lens). OR... 3D playback with depth-of-field adjustable on the fly.
