So if there's no scientific evidence then the claims made over years are false or can be ignored? This is obviously falacious reasoning. What hasn't been proven scienfitically simply hasn't been proven scienfically. Nothing more. Try some for yourself and use your own mind and body to figure out whether it works for

I guess it depends on your standards. Personally I wouldn't put it down my drain. But that's the way I roll.

You could make a zillion with that recipe!

That's a thought, but from my understanding nothing beats coconut oil for this purpose. Smells good too.

You might want to try Filebox extender, but I'm not sure whether it works with Win 7.

I didn't even know crisco was still in existence. It seems like something exceedingly impure from some dark age when people didn't know any better. Speaking of people who didn't know better, way back I remember my mom heard that crisco was a good sun lotion, which she then put on me. Don't do that to your child.

Find my iPhone is now free for everyone on every device using iOS 4. MobileMe is history.

Not kind to raccoons or freegans, unless you plan to flush it, as others have said. I use a broom and then vacuum all the little pieces. If you're still worried then a damp rag should pick up anything remaining. But vacuuming is the best solution for small pieces. No danger to others.

Good list. Here's a few others that might interest you: simplyburns, caffeine, skitch, youtubetomp3, gotoshell, shiftit, whitenoise, spirited away, jdownloader, gasmask, flux, bean. I'm sure I missed a few.

News to me. Will check it out. Thanx.

I'd go for the new air 13 inch. If he wants a PC laptop I find engadget has good reviews for this sort of thing.

My cat died and while we were waiting for a friend to bury him in the back yard I stored the body in the fridge freezer! A bit weird, but better than the body getting funky. What we noticed was that vet offices charge huge amounts to dispose of the body. The usual vet office robbery. But we found our city had a

Vote: iPad. So much more than a book reader.

My girlfriend just got one of those omgym things. It's a bunch of straps that hangs from the ceiling. Completely awesome. She's a pilates/yoga teacher so I get to find out some very cool moves on the thing. But for $200 it's a steal when you consider what a gym membership costs.

Nice. Works great with Quicksilver. Highlight files in finder and use command tilda, or use the comma trick to grab multiple files in various locations, tab, type open with, tab type namechanger, presto.

True but if you want to update your os then super duper isn't the best solution, since time machine will save everything except the os itself. So you can restore without reverting back to the old os. I would make a clone using carbon copy just as a precaution should the time machine fail. Personally I would always do

This is great advice. I learned this from Thoreau. Money represents life if you work for the stuff. So convert everything into the time you can never get back. That puts the lid on spending in a huge hurry,

Bosch makes the best stuff. That Amazon price is crazy. I wish I could match it in Canada.

I think Default Folder X is the go to app for all things save/open dialogue related. It's expensive, but most people who spend serious time on a Mac eventually find they need this thing. I'm not sure there are any other alternatives, although your trick is great for a quick and simple way around this on a small scale.

Learning a few Quicksilver tricks solves a lot of problems with finder. I'm mostly using Totalfinder and Quicksilver but have path finder installed. Total finder has potential, but isn't very keyboard centric. For instance, if I want to open a file in a separate tab I have to drag it to the tab bar. No shortcut for
