@ShabazOSU: Checknit out. He's a very good speaker and the science is fascinating. Worth the time, which might explain why it has a million hits.

Now playing

Check out this YouTube video on sugar. Blew me away. There was a piece recently in the NYTimes titled Is Sugar Toxic? A must read.

What we have had to endure. Bill must have been splitting a gut.

Funny. Bullet points save space too.

Spirit Away is another little app you might want to consider. It minimizes windows not in use. Pretty handy.

Perfect timing. We were just thinking of dumping the Daddy and moving along to something better. I can't stand their site, and the whole elephant shooting thing is reason enough for me to switch. So thanx for the timely piece.

@Talthybius: It can mess them up after a while depending on the cat and the exposure time.

Glad they're automatically moving videos. GV has many amazing full length docs that would be a drag to lose access to. One of my favorites is Century of the Self. Awesome doc.

I used to use the reflection from my watch. But the problem is that the cat's brain gets messed up because the object of light does weird things, which we find amusing, but it can cause major psychological problems for them.

Seems like a good idea, but actually laser pointers can adversely affect a cat's mental stability after a while. Apparently they are a bad idea.

Who knows what they could do with your data. There's the Achilles Heel of the whole cloud thing. It should be user encrypted. Dropbox = fail.

What a scourge sitting is. If you must sit use a stability ball. What I like to do is move around. Have different work stations, some standing, some sitting on a ball. If you work at home a good thing is to work for 50 mins and then do some exercise for 10. It's amazing how much more productive I am if I do things

Sorry for the double post, but the new LH site is farting again. So, since I can't delete the double post I'll just put this message in.

Excellent recommendation. I just went to the site for SelfControl and installed the free app. It's exactly what I was looking for. Nice web page too with a list of other programs that do similar things. Very cool. [visitsteve.com]

I've also used Freedom. Pretty cool.

@Felix26591: Do you need to choose? Install them both. They're both stable.

Simply the best radio app for iOS. It's not free, but almost. They should make a desktop version.

I've downloaded a couple of things like FlashFrozen and Caffeine, but I had previous versions. Anyhow, I can't say I've been too overwhelmed with the app store so far.

@philosopher_dog: Ahh. Flash. That shit. I can live without it. The world will catch up.
