Hope the kid sues the dealer.

Jalopnik’s latest round of hires are all from the BuzzFeed School of Journalism and couldn’t tell you the difference between news and clickbait. Gone are the days of Doug DeMuro and numbered are those of Torchinski and, you know, writers who write things we actually want to read. Sadly we’re all here because

...the ironically named James Steelman.

Yeah, give the PR guy a raise. This was probably cheaper than buying a TV ad and I’m sure will sway a lot more buyers to shop at their dealership instead.

Everything you listed can be easily handled by a good set of M/S rated All-seasons or ATs and driving accordingly.

I’ve had winters.
I’ve had good all seasons.
I’ve had good ATs.

One of the European racing channels just did a race between AWD with all seasons and fwd with snow tires. Who won? AWD and all seasons. It handled better, cornered faster, and overall had faster lap times on the snow course

Worn or shitty tires are a bigger menace than “all-seasons” as a category.

In my experience, it depends on WHICH all season tires. There are some all seasons that out-perform some of the cheap brand winter tires.  I use all season tires in the winter… and they’re fine because they are good quality all season tires.  Not as good as a set of Nokian Hakkas, but good enough for me.

Try aliexpress. I think I’ve seen them including the laptop for a couple hundred. I don’t have a use for one, so I never clicked through.

I got mine for free with a Smart that was also free. I hear you can sometimes find good ones on eBay.

Your brain is smooth

Words only have meaning you give them.

Are you really suggesting white people are being marginalized? Like, for real?

Your white fragility is embarrassing

ladies and gentlemen, I give you the very definition of being basic

I shall push onto humanity a scourge that cause them to suffer and die, because I want to get rich” is quite equal to “I want to commit genocide to plunder the corpses.

Thanks for the reportage, Jamie, and to Rory and the Jalopnik editors for green-lighting it.

This is good old fashioned Jalopnik. Rare form these days. Thank you.

This has been such a fantastic series.  Great work, Il Commodoro.
