After reading some of these (the Pulsar, and lost trade in) stories, I’m surprised no one has lost their cool completely and just shot the sales people.

I was purchasing a new car and had everything negotiated - when the bill came, they were trying to charge me $500 for this TruCoat sealant that I had explicitly said that I didn’t want. After round and round of arguing and him going to talk to his boss, the bald faced liar comes back and proudly offers me $100 off of

Probably. Whenever I hear a dealer/salesman whine about “tire kickers” I almost immediately have them pegged for the kind of salesman who hounds me from the moment I step on the lot even though I tell them I’m not buying right now. At that point whatever time they waste is on them and if they want to blame me for it

So heres one where I was the dick(sort of)...(yea, I was). Im almost done haggling on a brand new sentra and the salesman starts getting super pushy about the extended warranty. I say no and explain that its simple math; if the odds were in my favor, they wouldnt be offering it. He then gets even more pushy and says

If you have one share it, instead of just rhetorically bitching about not getting to. Nobody’s keeping you from telling us about the shitty customers you’ve dealt with but you.

Taking away or “hiding” the car you arrived at the dealership in to evaluate it for a trade (wink wink nudge nudge) is one of the oldest and most infuriating dealer tricks in the book. It’s so damn obnoxious. They try to make it difficult for you to get the hell out of there. I had one dealership tell me my car was

Serves you right.

Scratch all of my previous “never bet on sports” things—-this one absolutely takes the cake.

I’ve watched the Lions do some stupid shit over the years but I have a hard time finding a lot of fault here. They paid him 113 million dollars over a nine year span. They asked for 3.2 million back for services not performed. I’m almost always pro labor but his complaints seem a little hollow here

You’re right about Sanders, but didn’t Johnson have a lot of injury issues, including concussions?

but that doesn’t make it look any less petty to demand that a player who was so central to the team return several hundred thousand dollars as a penalty for choosing to walk away from the game after years of injuries.

Do the unwritten rules of baseball mean Tom Skilling gets a fastball in the ribs today?

If their players are getting sunburns in the overcast skies that persisted the entire rest of the afternoon/evening, no wonder Miller Park needs a roof. All their players would have melanoma by the ASB.

Doesn’t matter. By the time they meet again the Brewers will be in 4th.

I’m no hockey fan, but NHL playoffs are annually the best playoffs of the four major sports hands down.

The NBA should honestly be embarrassed by this season and postseason. This is what happens when a culture of super teams is established. I know a lot of that started with players wanting to team up (Celtics Big 3, Lebron with the Heat and Cavs) but the league didn’t do anything to stop it, you could even go so far as

Somebody did an analysis on super twos. Historically, the earliest you can bring someone up to avoid that is late may but the latest is late July, although you are correct, late May/early June is probably safe.

exactly..Ridiculous that they blamed the defensive coaches. The D played a GREAT game. But, you cant leave your defense on the field for the entire game and expect them to not wear down. The 2nd half was one of the all time worst Offensive coaching jobs of all time.

It was clearly his fault the Falcons called only 5 run plays in the second half.
