Well, if they had plowed into another boat instead of rocks, they might have killed innocent people too.

You know, if I had $10k lying around that I didn’t know what to do with, it would be pretty cool to buy a couple seats at Wrigley and be able to say that I attended a Cubs World Series game.

Kluber was great, but when did the rules change so that pitches a good four inches off the plate are strikes?

The thing that I don’t understand is why more people aren’t up in arms over the level of unfair control that employers have, that is far beyond simply paying a wage that’s too low.

He’s probably the best reliever in the game and obviously he was great last night, but let’s not forget that the runners on second and first with no outs were his. Getting out of that inning without giving up a single run was lucky.

If the person’s face and identifying features aren’t visible, I’m pretty sure you don’t need any kind of release for anything. Isn’t that why every news story ever about obesity shows people from the neck down?

I didn’t realize they were national. I get the ads constantly when I listen to podcasts of a Chicago sports radio show, but because the address they gave is here in town I always assumed the ads were geographically targeted.

I think that is largely because of the (mostly irrational) personal dislike she inspires in a certain number of people, not because of any real flaw she has as a leader, but still. Attention spans are too short.

Then traffic in cities would move at about five miles an hour.

There is no way John Fox gets fired. The cheap-ass McCaskeys will only fire a second-year coach if he is an utter dumpster fire like Trestman. Fox is merely the coach of a bad team (that is partly bad because he demanded that good players be cut or traded, true).

Yup. I generally fly Southwest so this trick wouldn’t work for me anyway, but 9/10 flights I take are literally full.

Too bad his name is misspelled.

I believe everything you just said, plus even fantastically fit people could not beat an NFL team because specialization. Being physically fit may be a prerequisite for success at a lot of football positions, but it’s also crucial to actually have the skills.
